Big Test Ahead for Fiji

Bula vinaka once again from Malaysia.

We have just completed a team meeting and the boys have come out to have dinner. It has been a much-needed rest day for the team after a disappointing performance yesterday. The team has discussed what went wrong in yesterday’s game with most of the senior players taking a leading role in today’s meeting in expressing their disappointment and talking about how much tomorrow’s game means to Fiji cricket.

We are looking forward to tomorrow’s game and turning around what happened in our last game. There are no changes to the team from yesterday, but a couple of changes in the batting line-up should see a much more balanced and experienced batting order for tomorrow’s game against hosts Malaysia.

We know tomorrow’s game will not be easy, but after the emotions shared in today’s meeting, we believe the boys will come out firing and wanting to make Fiji proud tomorrow.

So once again thank you very much to all our supporters. You have no idea how much it means to all the boys and we cherish your messages on Facebook.

Vinaka vakalevu and catch up with you soon.

One From One

Bula vinaka, once again to all our Blues supporters. We have just completed our first match of the tournament and have come out victorious against a spirited Nigeria side.

The one week spent in Singapore has helped the boys a lot as we have adapted well to the weather conditions and it should today as the boys fought back well with both bat and ball to come out victors.

On behalf of the boys, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed the boys through Facebook, because every night the boys are stuck onto the internet and reading all your comments, even our father of the team (Iniasi Cakacaka) has become a great fan of Facebook.

Our second game tomorrow is against Guernsey and we hope to continue the positive momentum into the game and keep improving and make our fans and family proud.

Vinaka vakalevu for your support and will catch up with you guys in a couple of days.

MAI BLUES !!!

From Suva to Singapore

Bula vinaka to all our Blues supporters around the world.

It is our second day in Singapore and the boys have adapted well to the traditional cuisines and the tough heat.

It is a real pleasure to be leading a team with a lot of talent and heart and with the exceptional training facilities available to us. We are sure that we will enter the Division 6 competition well prepared to do Fiji proud.

The team is looking forward to meeting up with our two overseas based brothers who I am sure are as excited and keen to get straight into training with the boys. After two days of training, the boys have gotten used to the humidity and heat here in Singapore and with another four more days of training to go, I am sure that we will be ready to counter whatever conditions Malaysia may offer us.

That is all I have for now, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and humbly ask to not forget the boys in your prayers as we battle to bring Cricket Fiji to where it belongs.

Vinaka vakalevu and catch you all in a couple of days!!....Me Bula Ga Na Kirikiti...
